I'm Andy Green - co-founder of Counting Hope and founder of Lyke Limited and I'm passionate about volunteering, charity work, and social action. I have cerebral palsy and type one diabetes, but I don't let that stop me! Having raised over £1,000 for various charities, volunteered for hundreds of hours, won multiple awards and worked with many clients for my age, I like to think I have a lot experience and enough to know anything is possible, but enough to also know that I have so much to learn.

Donation from the Pelham Pillar Lodge of Freemasons

photo-08-10-2016-09-40-09On Wednesday 5 October 2016, I received a message from worshipful brother Roger Dixon of the Pelham Pillar Lodge asking to meet. Unknown to me, this was so that he could present me with a £500 cheque on behalf of the Lodge as a donation towards our current target of raising money for a kitchen at the kindergarten we work with. They said: “recognition of the excellent work by Counting Hope supporting local young people to make a great difference to the lives of school children in Cape Verde and along the way learning leadership and life skills themselves.

It is in recognition of the excellent work by Counting Hope supporting local young people to make a great difference to the lives of school children in Cape Verde and along the way learning leadership and life skills themselves. We hope it will go some way to achieving your latest project to build a kitchen in the school at Sal to enable free school meals to be provided, an excellent and very worthwhile aim.

The £500 is part of over £70,000m recently donated across Lincolnshire to local charities and good causes by Lincolnshire Freemasons. We are very grateful for this extremely generous donation and have no doubts that it will make a tremendous impact on the lives of children in Sal Island.

Thank you for all of us at Counting Hope! Be sure to check out our support us page to see how you can make a difference too.

Let’s start Counting Hope…

Andy
